Postings unfair

Letters

IT is a slap in the face of hard-working teachers in Western Highlands to read comments from the education adviser as published last Tuesday.
Teachers’ postings for Western Highlands were not done on time as promised in 2017.
Western Highlands’ teacher postings were out on the resumption week.
Teachers actually resumed on the first week of term one.
Postings were not done fairly.
Only a few people were involved in appointing teachers, which resulted in the late resumption of classes.
Agency-run schools have made their own recommendations to the provincial education board which were overlooked.
It is for the good of the people of this province and the country that the truth be told, rather than misleading students, parents and the country.
Tell the truth.
Do the right thing by appointing teachers based on merit and pay their rightful entitlements.
