Prepare for fees early, don’t wait till the end

Letters

IT is an eyesore seeing a lot of young people with good academic results at home instead of in school because of lack of money.
Parents should not wait till the end of the year to start preparing for their children’s school fee.
If you are a parent whose child is in school, start preparing as soon as possible.
I don’t want young people to suffer because their parents didn’t play their part.
Education in colleges and universities are not cheap.
They are so expensive.
Wake up parents.
This is not a joke.
We can’t put the future of our children in jeopardy just because of our constructive ignorance.
Constructive ignorance simply means knowing the right thing to do yet we opt to do the wrong thing.
If you know your child is in grade 12 or just about any grade, wake up and start preparing.
Yes, there are some mothers that sell food in the market every day to make money to pay their child’s school fees.
So we all don’t have an excuse.
If it means we toil the soil and get into agriculture, do it.
If it means catch fish and sell it, do it.
Telling your child you don’t have money to pay school fee is a very lame excuse and you should be ashamed of yourself.
I’m straightforward because I want our children’s future to be secured.
I cry seeing bright students at home because parents can’t pay the fees.
In the past, a family could have 10 to 12 children, but all of them secured jobs and/or went to higher education institutions because parents did not make excuses.
Today, parents can have four or five children but yet make an excuse about school fees.
Where there is a will, there is a way.
If your child is important to you, you will find a way.
If not, you will find an excuse.
