Priest tells FPDA staff to go out and sow seeds

STAFF of Fresh Produce Development Agency (FPDA) have been urged to put God first in their lives.
During a dedication service held to open the year at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic church in Goroka, Eastern Highlands, last Wednesday, Fr Arnold Schmitt said as an organisation, it was FPDA’s mandate to go out and sow seeds.
“As the custodian of fruit and vegetable seeds, you must go out and do good, serving others (farmers) with love and compassion as Jesus had done.
“We are all made for service. The service that you provide to the people of Papua New Guinea as a seed sower will have an impact and make real difference if you put God first in your lives,” he said.
“No matter what you do in your jobs with FPDA, you must do it diligently as if you are doing it for the Lord.
“In 2024, always look up to Jesus for direction and motivation and you will never go wrong.”
Fr Arnold reminded staff that they were blessed and privileged to work for FPDA, which is an organisation that can truly replicate the parable of the mustard seed that Jesus spoke of in the scriptures.
The priest also challenged the company management to improve and manipulate seeds and food production in the country with commitment and dedication.
“As custodians of fruit and vegetable seeds, you stand before God as sowers of seeds who are ready to go out and farm the land.
“FPDA is entrusted and positioned to provide clean and disease-free seeds to farmers who, like the soil, will multiply the seeds to deliver good harvests to feed Gods people who are hungry,” Fr Arnold said.
