Prisoners commit their lives to Jesus

Faith

Seventeen prisoners committed their lives to Jesus Christ and were baptised during a three-day Gospel programme at Boram prison in East Sepik’s Wewak during the Easter long weekend.
The programme was held from March 28-30 and was organised by the Boram Correctional Institute welfare rehabilitation section led by Sgt Ruben Wafi.
He said the programme was aimed to bring spiritual reflection and the message of hope to the inmates.
“This spiritual milestone signifies a transformative experience for these prisoners, offering them a renewed sense of purpose and faith,” Wafi said.
He said the success of the programme was due to the help of sponsors from the East Sepik Community.
“Their contributions played a vital role in creating a meaningful and impactful experience for the participating prisoners,” Wafi said.
