Proper development plan sought for Kagua-Erave

KAGUA-Erave MP Wesley Raminai says his district needs a well-structured plan for development during his term in office.
Raminai, the vice-minister for Sports, National Events and Apec, said the five-year development plan must involve people who lived in the district.
Raminai organised the district’s economic development forum last week at the Kagua station involving district administration staff and key stakeholders from the electorate and Southern Highlands.
Nimo Kama, from Development Communications Solutions Ltd, with experience in development partners and agencies in the country and the Asia-Pacific region, was among those facilitating the forum.
“We want to also give the four LLGs in Kagua-Erave the opportunity to tell us what they want,” Raminai said.
“We are applying a bottom-up approach and consultations at this forum to come up with a five-year (development) plan.
“We want people to be involved and identify the top two to three projects that we can focus on. Others can roll on from there.”
Raminai said the forum, the first time such an event was held in Kagua- Erave, was important because he wanted to achieve some big things for the people in his district over the next five years.
