THE East New Britain (ENB) administration has stepped up its coronavirus (Covid-19) “Nuipla Pasin” (New Normal) programme enforcement in all its four districts, with Kokopo registering the highest number of infections, Kokopo administrator John Talele says.
“We have set up four checkpoints to help beef up enforcement,” he said
“The checkpoints are at Kabakaul, Gazelle Motor roundabout, Kokopo Secondary School roundabout and Kuradui-Raluana.
“We are trying our best to check the spread of the virus and minimise the number of daily infections.”
Talele said policemen and public servants were stationed at the four checkpoints to ensure that public motor vehicle bus passengers comply with the Covid-19 public health measures such as wearing masks and using hand sanitisers to reduce community transmissions of the virus.
