Public servants put on notice

WESTERN Governor Taboi Awi Yoto and North Fly MP James Donald have warned public servants in the province to pull up their socks and work hard to deliver services.
The MPs said political leaders of the province were united and public servants must work with them for the sake of the people.
“Everyone has to work hard to deliver services,” Donald said.
“If MPs are travelling the bush and tracks to see what people need, there is no excuse for public servants to do nothing and get paid. We all must work hard to deliver services for our people.
“The government is not our cash cow.
“We have to throw money where it is supposed to go and ensure that it gives us the wanted outcome.”
Donald told the people that there was no excuse for public servants to get paid for doing nothing as has been the case.
Yoto said there was no funding to solve individual’s problems.
“Our place is resourceful and has more economic potential to improve our lives,” he said.
“We all must work to help our people to be self-reliant economically. And that’s by implementing our priority goals in the areas of education, health and agriculture.”
