PWC are aiming to maintain their top four spot in the Private Corporate Netball Competition’s division three leading into the finals.
The Glenda Ray-captained side defeated NCDC1 12-9 in a close encounter to conclude round two over the weekend.
Ray said the team’s loses in round one inspired them to improve their performance and commitment in round two.
“We have come a long way in round one games,” Ray said.
“We lost four matches so in round two, we made a goal to win all our matches.
“Unfortunately last Sunday we drew with City Pharmacy Limited, however for us to win in round two was more of a comeback for us.
“As both professionals and support staff of PwC, we are happy with our level of commitment we put in to get a good result.”
Ray said the team identified errors in round one and made improvements.
“Slowing the game down was our key focus to displace our opponents in order for us to be in charge and control of the game, that’s how we as a team made a difference,” she said.
“We are fourth on the ladder for division three and our goal is to ensure we make it into the knockouts and the finals.”
