Ramu NiCo execs in Madang

 A CHINESE delegation visited the Ramu NiCo project in Madang recently to look into the investment environment and challenges the nickel mine faced.

Representatives from the MCC-Group, China Metallurgical Construction (Group) Corporation from China were in Madang last month to get first hand information on the technical, financial, management and cultural challenges confronting the only nickel-cobalt project in the country.

Accompanying the delegations were MCC vice-president Wang Yongguang, resource sector general manager Zong Shaoxing, resource sector deputy general manager Wang Jicheng and mniing group deputy general manager Wen Kuiwu.

Board chairman and director Zhao Shimin received the group in Madang.

Wang said: “On behalf of MCC leaders, I come here to visit all of you. I thank everyone for your painstaking efforts, sweat shed and the great endeavour made for Ramu project.
