GULF Isou hooker Ross Ravu injury will be assessed in the week after he copped a heavy knock in their 16-10 Digicel Cup round-three win over the Mt Hagen Eagles in Port Moresby on Saturday.
The Central native was carried off the field for a head injury assessment (HIA) following a tackle by former SP Hunters forward and Eagles skipper Henry Wan.
“It’s unfortunate for Ravu but we will have to review his injury in the week,” Isou coach Nigel Hukula said.
“We’ve had a number of HIAs in the last two games now and that is something we will look at.
“There were some other players who also copped head knocks so will review all of that.
“But Ravu copped a heavy hit.
“We will see how he recovers in the week.”
Meanwhile, Hukula said the win was a boost for the team.
“Compared with the first two games, we have improved a lot,” he said.
“Our structures in attack and defence are picking up.
“We just have to maintain that go-forward.”
