Rebranding aims to include all: Chairman

NAMBAWAN Super Ltd chairman Anthony Smare says the rebranding of the superfund’s message and logo is to make it inclusive for everyone.
Speaking during the launching of the superfund’s new logo and message in Port Moresby on Wednesday, Smare said the fund’s name remained while the logo and the message changed.
“The idea is now of how big we are, the fact that there is still confusion of the purpose of the fund, its connection to the members and how is it relevant to the country,” he said. While explaining the fund’s new message, Smare said “super for all” was not just about superannuation for the public and private sectors.
“It was not about getting members from Nasfund (National Superannuation Fund) to come over.
“It’s about acknowledging that there is a large part of the country that is not covered by superannuation.
“And super is such a powerful tool to provide that opportunity for them to retire with dignity but not just retiring with dignity but living with dignity.
“You will see developments and announcements in the next 12 to 24 months which will be focused about super for all extending into those members who are outside the traditional workforce.
“To those growers (farmers), betel nut sellers, fishermen, even the expatriates who do not take part in superannuation right now but who are missing out on the opportunity to participate and to benefit in the magnificent investment tool.”
