Reckless drivers who run red lights are deadly

 DRIVERS who run red lights at major city junctions in Port Moresby should be banned from the roads. 

One such driver nearly killed me and my four children on Friday, March 7 at the four-way junction in Waigani central opposite the City Pharmacy and the entrance to the Steamship Yard. 

He tried to beat the light, which was already red, and zoomed around turning right. 

At that moment, I was coming out of the other side and  had  to slam on the brakes to avoid a major collision. I fear to think what would have happened  had I not been quick enough. 

It happened so quickly that I could not note his registration number. 

In fact, I was shaking in fear and anger.  

Authorities, please do something before the innocent are killed.
