THE Morobe Health Authority has recently recruited three doctors to be based at the Covid-19 hospital, curative services director Dr Lincoln Menda says.
Dr Menda, who is also chairman of the Morobe coronavirus preparedness and response committee, said this would take some burden off doctors at Angau Memorial Hospital so they could carry on with normal duties.
“We have Dr Ropen, a senior doctor with vast experience heading the Covid-19 hospital and very good nursing officers,” he said.
“We are lucky with the employment of the three doctors and the two extra health extension officers.
“Our Covid-19 hospital functions parallel to the provincial hospital and all those at the Covid-19 hospital are experienced officers who are doing their best.”
