Reject recycled people, Marape

Letters, Normal

THE Hela students at the University of Goroka hail the appointment of Education Minister James Marape as Hela Transition Authority chairman by the National Executive Council.
We feel that his tireless efforts in pushing for a separate Hela province has finally been recognised.
We appreciate Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare for recognising his leadership potential by appointing him as chairman apart from his ministerial and electoral duties.
His appointment fits nicely as the middle person as far as trading activities with the rest of the Hela sons and daughters (Opena, Duna, Tugupa and Hewa).
Mr Marape, as a Hela son, is the appropriate person to take the lead in sharing and distributing wealth with other Hela sons and daughters.
On the same note, we appeal to him to carefully appoint fresh and new public servants with dreams and vision to take Hela forward and these appointments must be on merit.
We do not want to see recycled and corrupt public servants.
