Relatives seek leaders’ help

 RELATIVES of a schoolteacher killed in a suburb of Port Moresby are appealing to community leaders of the suspects to hand them over to police.

Moses Yobale, 48, from Mul village in Gumine, Chimbu, was a deputy appointment officer at the National Capital District Commission’s education services desk.

His relative Pius Kuman said Yobale was killed at Bavaroko on Aug 24 during a party.

The Kobalaku tribe in Gumine said they were fed up with senseless killings by people who had no respect and regard for human lives.

Yobale’s relatives urged the Ialibu community leaders in Port Moresby to assist them bring the perpetrators to police so they could be prosecuted.

James Mu, chairman of peace mediation in NCD, said every weekend there was a murder in the nation’s capital and that was placing a burden on them as peace mediation officers to resolve these issues.
