Report on children with heart problems complete

THE cardiologist’s report on children with heart problems at the Mt Hagen Hospital’s Loo Pok heart clinic has been completed.
According to the report, 55 patients were screened and reviewed last month by heart doctors.
The report said two patients who could have surgery would go the Port Moresby General Hospital between now and December where the PNG team could operate on them.
It said four patients had been slotted for the open-heart team from Australia for possible operation if and when they were scheduled to came to PNG next year.
The report said the rest of the patients were for the local surgical management.
Dr Cornelia Kilalang and Dr Diana Olita’a, from the Port Moresby General Hospital, flew to Mt Hagen and screened the children.
Tininga Group of Companies in Mt Hagen will meet all travel and accommodation expenses of the patients and their guardians.
