Respect rules, everyone

Letters

A COUPLE and their baby were trying to enter a shop in Port Moresby but the security guard did not open the door until the husband put on his mask.
Upon entering, the wife shouted at the security guard asking why they had to wait for him to open the door.
The guard explained it was company policy, complying with the National Pandemic Act, that they had the ‘no mask, no entry’ policy in place.
Obviously, the lady had no respect for the rule and for another human being because the guard was only complying with rules.
He pays taxes to the Government that serves you.
She had no right to question a fellow citizen about his job as a security officer by asking: “who are you?”
I don’t understand why some people find it hard to comply with simple instructions and get defensive when they are corrected by people they regard as lower than them.
