SVS Ltd (SVS), distributors of the Kopiko 3-in-1 instant coffee mix, have introduced a new packet, to cater for customers’ demand and taste.
The new Kopiko Black is 25 grams instead of the previous 20g and is at the same retail price of 70 toea.
Product manager Victor Remigio said: “To compliment this relaunch, on Dec 2 SVS started a nationwide promotion for the “Kopiko Mugs Giveaway” which will run through to March 2020, with a total of 16 limited-edition collectible Kopiko mugs locally designed by SVS for coffee lovers.
“As Kopiko gained popularity, customers commented that the 20g packet was not big enough for the average cup. This motivated SVS to improve the product with more value, without compromising on taste and quality,” he said.
“For over 30 years, SVS has been committed to contributing to our local community, by being the trademark of excellence in quality, offering safe and better value products and services,” head of marketing Lalani Hanafi said. “The relaunch of the original Kopiko Black is a reminder of why we love them.”
Kopiko was SVS’s first 3-in-1 instant coffee mix, exclusively distributed in Papua New Guinea since 2015.
Papua New Guineans generally like their coffee with milk and sugar so the objective of introducing an instant coffee mix was to give people a strong and rich coffee that met all their needs without any fuss – coffee, sugar and creamer all in one packet.
Hanafi said: “In February (2020), chocolate–themed mugs will be paired with the latest addition to the range – Kopiko Choco Latto – an instant chocolate mix you can drink hot or iced cold.”

  • Is it made of any local products like Ramu Sugar, Elimo Diary, Goroko/Banz/Kongo coffee etc or just a piece of unwarranted Kongkong products to add diabetes to uninformed PNG citizens??
