Review decision

Letters

I was happy to see Madang in its 2018 budget allocating K3 million for 100 youths to study technical trade courses.
I suggest reviewing this decision to send youths to Philippines.
Keep them in our established technical vocational institutions in Madang or PNG.
The advantage is that it will cost less to get this trade knowlwdge here in PNG than overseas.
The K3m allocated will be circulated within the province and PNG.
The technical vocational school can improve its infrastructure development through the funds.
The province sees development through new buildings.
More than 100 youths can achieve the same trade certificate with less risk in PNG than overseas.
Youths should complete this trade course in PNG and work for some years.
They can then apply for scholarships to study for specialist courses overseas which are not on offer in PNG.
