THE RH Group will officially open its first service station next to Vision City, Port Moresby on Thursday.

RH Trading Ltd general manager Ang Cheng Chooi said the RH Mobil Service Station commenced operations five months ago.

The new service station has security cameras installed over all the eight pump islands and transactions at the 16 pumps are monitored at a control centre.

Aiming for customer satisfaction, Chooi said the service station had tied-up with Wantok Rewards Ltd to benefit its clients.

He said an engagement was on the way with RH Hypermarket for fuel discount for every purchase.

“This will not be the first RH Mobil Service Station to be established in the country. The management is now finalising details of building a mini Vision City at 8-Mile.

“It will have a shopping area, entertainment, restaurant, residences and office buildings, and a bigger RH Mobil Service Station which will house eight pumps to cater 16 customers at the same time.

“This is the answer of RH Group of Companies to the growing population in the area to bring them the same convenience that people up town is now enjoying,” Chooi said.

When the service station commenced operation in June, an average of about 10,000 litres of both diesel and unleaded petrol had been purchased by customers.

Chooi said that was expected to increase significantly when the Group’s Rain Tree Hotel, within the Vision City premises, opened next year.

Meanwhile, Mobil Oil New Guinea Ltd has secured a long-term fuel supply arrangements for the new service station.

Country manager Frank Tudic said: “Mobil is delighted to supply fuel at the new Vision City location, and hopes this additional supply of product will be welcomed by the Port Moresby motoring public.”
