Roadblocks don’t solve problems

Letters

JIMI MP Wake Goi has raised concerns over roadblocks at Kaunamnol in North Waghi, where floods have affected the life of people and destroyed property.
Residents of the affected areas should understand that it is a natural disaster.
Grievances should be raised with the concerned authorities.
It should not be used as an opportunity for self-gain.
It is shameful to see locals, demanding compensation from outsiders for accessing the road.
Leaders in Kaunamnol should seek assistance from North Waghi MP and Jiwaka provincial government, or National Government through the National Disaster Office.
They should not be asking for help from the people of Jimi and the general public.
Credit to former North Waghi MP Benjamin Mul for his support.
