The third round of the Port Moresby Soccer Association (PMSA) competition kicks off tomorrow, with Momase taking on Maclaren in the opening match of the men’s premier division.
Momase will be looking to repeat their match-winning performance from last week, with flyer Joshua Wesley expected to cause damage against a quality Maclaren side.
Maclaren, who were quiet last weekend, are expected to raise their game tomorrow with key player Tau Winnie expected to control their attack from midfield.
The main match tomorrow afternoon will see Seeadler trying to grab their first win of the season against PS Rutz.
Seeadler will be looking to use forward Pettysen Elizah to get a head start against a tough PS Rutz side who delivered the performance of the round last weekend with a comeback win.
In Sunday’s fixtures, defending champions Mungkas will be looking to carry on their superb form from last week’s 5-2 win against University when they face a quality Genesis side led by Charlie Lepani.
Genesis, who fielded a star-studded outfit last week with likes of the Kapul’s Raymond Gunemba and Michael Foster, are expected to put up a fight in what looks to be the clash of the round.
The second match on Sunday will see Cosmos looking for some redemption this weekend after losing 2-0 last time out to Momase as they prepare to take on newly-promoted Leilam, who are looking to continue their winning streak.
The main match of the afternoon will see Keapara’s Keleiruna try to register their first win of the season against a determined University line-up with the likes of Sammy Campbell and Riggie Togubae leading their pack in what a should be an interesting encounter.
