Saddened by the loss of pilot

Letters

I AM saddened to hear of the loss of Captain Thomas Keindip.
Captain Keindip was a committed pilot who served many rural communities in Morobe and other parts of the country in his short life in aviation.
Morobe has lost a prominent pilot but people of Kabwum have surely lost a pride and a favorite son.
I never had a chance of flying with him on my few holiday trips to and from home.
However, people say when the weather was bad in Morobe, particularly in Kabwum, Keindep would fly his plane through thick cloud cover and rain to serve his people.
His colleagues preferred flying into Kabwum and other remote places in Morobe in fine weather.
For Keindip, however, even when the weather said otherwise he was dedicated to serve.
You are gone but surely you have inspired the next generation Kabwum to emulate your life in aviation and service to the rural communities.
Farewell my big brother.
May your soul rest in eternal peace.
