The Salvation Army Gulf district has received a new vehicle from Salvation Army Australia.
The vehicle was presented at Salvation Army headquarters at Boroko in Port Moresby last week.
Salvation Army territorial commander Col Kelvin Alley said the vehicle would provide safe transport between Port Moresby and Gulf.
“We are grateful to Salvation Army Australia for making funds available and adding value to our mission and ministry in Papua New Guinea,” he said.
The vehicle was presented to majors Alicia and Tauge Kuriki of Salvation Army Gulf, who travelled all the way from there to receive it.
In the past, staff from Salvation Army Gulf travelled from Gulf to Port Moresby and back, using PMVs.
