School aims to retain parents’ trust

A TECHNICAL secondary school principal in East Sepik says the school’s priority for this year is to retain parents’ trust.
Dreikikier Technical Secondary principal Jeffery Waimo told The National, many parents in the Gawanga local level government where the school was situated had lost trust in the school’s administration due to poor management in previous years.
“The school is situated in one of the most remote areas where road access has been a major challenge for years for the locals and that has halted many Government services from reaching the people,” he said. Waimo said many students and teachers had left to other schools that were accessible by roads with proper learning and teaching resources.
“The school has experienced so many challenges in the past, causing continuous suspension of classes.”
