THE Don Bosco Technological Institute (DBTI), East Boroko, celebrated the “feast of Mary help of Christians” on Monday.
This was the first school mass at the institute after the Covid-19 restrictions were eased.
Two masses were held simultaneously in the campus in an effort to maintain social distancing. A similar message was preached in both venues on how the blessed mother delivered the church to safety on countless occasions throughout history and will continue to do so as she is the help of Christians.
Together with the feast day celebration, the student leaders and the student representative council (SRC) of the institute were formally inducted as leaders.
The day ended with resounding comments of the Rector, Fr Alexander Garces, who reminded students saying: “This whole day is about family and unity.”
