DESPITE many challenges over roads, remoteness, water, Omaura Missionary School graduated 86 Seventh-day Adventists (SDA) ministers on Sunday.
Established in the early 1960s and located 34km from Kainantu, Eastern Highlands, the school graduated many SDA ministers.
During the 24th graduation, the ministers and their wives from the nine missions of SDA church in the country graduated with certificates to serve as ministers in various missions in the country.
While congratulating and challenging the graduands after two years of schooling, PNG union mission ministerial secretariat of the SDA church Pr Andrew Opis told them to uphold what had been taught and continue to serve God in their future endeavours.
With the graduation theme “with Christ, we advance”, Pr Opis urged for hard work to spread the faith and the Bible’s teachings and to fight against that which went against those principles.
Adventist relieve agency representative Darren Yorio urged the graduands to practise what they had learnt.
“Be a minister of Christ to others and serve God with all that you have,” Yorio said.
