WITH children in the nation’s capital trying to adjust to the “new normal” life in school, Tengei Christan Academy hosted a thanksgiving service on Friday to express their gratitude towards those who supported them during the Covid-19 state of emergency (SOE).
School principal David Havae spoke to students, parents and staff about the coronavirus pandemic and how it was affecting the school and rest of the world.
“Though we are faced by this virus, it is with gratefulness that we are safe and I thank God for his grace upon us.
“This ceremony is a way of giving thanks to the Lord for his protection.
“And also to thank everyone who stood by us during the SOE period.”
The ceremony was filled with joy and laughter, with students performing songs, reciting their memory verses and a skit performance by senior students.
