School to host touch tourney

A PRIMARY school in Sohe District, Oro province, will be hosting one of the biggest touch rugby tournaments in the province over the Independence weekend.
Agenahambo Primary School is set to host the tournament in which 24 teams are confirmed to compete.
Twenty teams will compete in the men and women’s open and open mix while the U18 boys have confirmed four teams for the Ronnie Oivo-sponsored cup.
The theme for the tournament is “Rural Youths in Touch.”
Tournament directors Lincoln Horoma and Terry Agembo said from Popondetta that Igora, Serembe, Hujawa, Koipa 1 and Sui are all geared up for the showdown.
A referee from NCD is in the province to conduct refresher clinics.

He said the draws were finalized and the games would kick-off tomorrow and the finals would be held on Sunday.
The tournament director’s thanked Oivo for sponsoring the event to promote rugby touch in the rural district for the youths, which would be an annual event.
