Scouts look for talent or looks?

I AM a firm believer and supporter of PNG music.
This year, the genres are greater than ever with our very own local artists receiving praises in the international scene.
It seems the people behind promotion have tremendous talent.
Recently, I got to see first hand the antics of a music video starlet at a night club.
While she may be a rising star, her behaviour in public left a bad taste in my mouth and I feel sorry for her family.
For her to appear almost nude at the night club was a slap in the face as no respectable hard working woman should display herself this way.
This led me to wonder whether she was “spotted” because of her talent or something else.
From what I have seen, it is unfortunate that many of our young women are behaving in such manner.
I find it unacceptable that our young women behave in such manner.
What is worse is many of them are from prominent and respectable families.
As for the music video talent scouts, what are the criteria – talent and ability to sing or good looks and wild behaviour?
