Second call to Haiveta and team to pay up

Letters

THIS is our second call to Gulf Governor Chris Haiveta.
We are the certified landowner companies requesting him to direct his provincial administration, technical team in Kerema and segment seven Kikori gas director with MRDC to fast track and pay our development grants (IDG).
Governor, we know you are the authority and the pen pusher. So, put that pen in the right place and pay us now without further delay.
You told us the Kikori people that our IDG is in the trust account, so do the right thing by paying us instead of giving us those excuses.
Landowners have been waiting in Kerema town for three months for the funds.
We hear, West Kikori LLG was paid K6 million and East Kikori K8 million.
Landowner companies have come a long way going through the actual process of DPE and the EIC to acquire these funds to develop Kikori. We call on relevant government departments – Finance, National Planning and Monitoring – to intervene.
The clock is ticking.
