IAROWARI Secondary School in Sogeri, Central, will soon have a new dining hall.

Central Governor Kila Haoda this month gave a cheque of more than K600,000 to Sheva7 Ltd, a local contractor to upgrade the current dining hall. Haoda said it was the first time for the school to be funded with a total of K1 million under the provincial services improvement programme (PSIP) to improve its mess facilities.

“We trust the contractor to deliver a quality facility for students there and work must start as soon as possible,” Haoda said.

Similar funding will go towards other projects in the education sector under the PSIP funding for Kwikila Secondary, Kupiano Secondary and the new Aroma Coast High School and Iarowari.

Provincial administrator Gei Guni Raga said money marked for the projects in the province must be used for the intended purpose and work must be completed on time.
