THE Assembly of God (AOG) church in Lae, Morobe, has established a school for young women who do not have the opportunity to continue studies in the education system.

Pastor Mervyn Gabarura said training was targeting young girls, particularly those who did not have opportunities to further their education when opting for early marriage and other unplanned activities in their lives.

The school adopted its curriculum from the America power series standard which also involves biblical teachings to firstly transform young women’s mind set to focus on their individual abilities to move on with their skills in communities, Gabarura said.

Courses expected to go on offer are floriculture, business, computing, landscaping and spiritual component teaching.

Intake commences from October to November of this year while training starts early next year based on its motto “Through Christ one can do all things that strengthen us”.
