‘Secret Santa’ surprises dad

A 29-YEAR-OLD, secret friend, presented a Mazda 6 manual car worth K30,000 for Christmas to his father in Port Moresby.
Alois Peakari, from Wabag, who picked his father’s name as a secret friend, bought the vehicle and presented it to him on Dec 25.
“My father is in his ’60s, but after I surprised him with the car keys, he dropped some tears of joy as I fulfilled his wish to own a vehicle one day,” he said.
Peakari said that he had planned with his family to surprise his father.
“I have my own family with three children but I am lucky to have him alive today so I decided to gift himwith this car,” he said.
His father is a retired high school teacher and with his retirement funds, he had, built rental rooms and supported his studies at the University of Technology,” Peakari said.
He says that he respects his father for his hard work.
