THE Guard Dog security firm in Wewak branch conducted a recruitment programme recently to select 50 more men to meet the growing demand for its services.
Administration manageress Dorothy Sause said they were getting more clients compared to the number of personnel they had so the firm decided to get more recruits, thus providing employment for the young men.
Recruits must be at least 165cm tall before undergoing a 30-minute written expression test to assess their literacy level.
Regional branch manageress Nancy Darius said the firm’s objectives were to reduce crime and unemployment issues in any branch as was evident in Wewak where most people moved
around freely in towns and public areas.
She said the firm operated on a six-month rotational basis where their staff were often given the opportunity to visit other provinces.
She said some of the staff underwent induction sessions or special
trainings to become specialised in providing security to ports and meet standards of their clients throughout the nation.
