Security vehicle crashes into Ela Motors

It could have been a terrible accident for staff at the Madang branch of Ela Motors when a security vehicle ran straight into their changing room at around 9.45am on Tuesday.
Ela Motors service manager Moses Yua said the vehicle’s breaks failed and it ran into the building, knocking down the brick wall of the staff changing room and the manager’s office.
Yua said branch manager Lynn Lini had just left the office and went over to the service counter few minutes before the vehicle crashed into her office.
“We were lucky there was no one inside the changing room,” he said.
Kelly Juhula a staff said he was at the service counter when he heard a loud bang.
“When I ran out the vehicle was already inside our manager’s office,” Juhula said.
Police arrived a few minutes later and assessed the situation.
The driver  was taken to the police station and charged.
