Senior police officer arrested

A SENIOR Police Internal Affairs Directorate officer was yesterday arrested on allegations of misappropriation and abuse of office.
He was taken to the Gordon Police Station and a Policing the Police unit officer said he was facing four counts of misappropriation and two of abuse of office. The officer is from East Sepik.
The policing team said the officer allegedly committed the crime last year in East New Britain when on travel duty. He allegedly cashed his accommodation vouchers for the Kokopo Village Resort and used it for other purposes.
