Shape up or be dealt with, says Wenge

PUBLIC servants in Morobe have to perform well for the next five years or they will be dealt with under the Public Service Management Act, says Morobe Governor Luther Wenge.
He said once the province had its new administrator appointed, he or she would have to act to ensure public servants were doing their job.
“If there is someone not doing his or her job well, they have to face the consequences in accordance with the Public Services Management Act,” he said.
“That is why public servants in the province must work hard to deliver services to the people of Morobe.”
Meanwhile, Wenge said his government would do its best to subsidise school fees for students from elementary level through to grade 12 and higher institutions.
“I am determined to ensure that my government will pay 100 per cent school fee subsidies in Morobe,” he said.
Wenge said scholarships would be extended to students whose parents were living and working in Morobe.
“Their parents have been here working and have been contributing to the government tax of this province,” he said.
“Their kids will also benefit.”
