Shop refutes claim of staff contracting Delta

RH Hypermarket in Gordon, Port Moresby, has refuted a claim that six of its employees have tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Delta variant.
In a statement, the RH Hypermarket management responded to the claim made by a “Ms C L” who urged her “Toksave family” to avoid the shopping centre.
“We categorically deny the above allegation. None of our employees has been detected positive for Delta as at this denial,” it said.
“We adhere strictly to all preventive and precautionary measures prescribed by the relevant authorities, including mandatory wearing of masks and sanitising.
“We have also put in place stringent standard operating procedures to maximise protection of our customers and employees.
“The allegation by C L is completely false.
“We wish to emphasise again our commitment to provide a safe and secure shopping environment for our customers.
“We are now seeking advice on the above allegation with the view of taking appropriate legal action pertaining thereto.”
