ANTHONY Talo is understood to be out of Hekari United’s squad after the Solomon Islands goalkeeper played just one match for the Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League ladder leaders.
The 24-year-old left for the Solomon Islands and had not returned experiencing visas issues with his countryman Robert Laua. Only Laua returned to the club.
According to sources, Talo will not represent the Jerry Allen-coached side in the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League which kicks off over the weekend with United hosting Group A in Port Moresby.
The Oceania Football Centre has already raised questions about the situation of Talo, who has won the golden glove award in the OFC Futsal Nations Cup.
Talo left the country after Hekari’s round-three fixture against Gulf Komara at the Papua New Guinea Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
He has Champions League experience after representing Western United and Marist, both clubs from his homeland.
Talo most recently represented Henderson Eels in the Telekom S-League as the club finished second in the Solomon Islands’ premier football competition.
