Sia and Tambua bridging villagers

Letters

ROAD and bridge connectivity plays a vital role in the smooth flow of traffic and business.
It enables fast and efficient movement of other government services into villages, schools, health facilities and communities throughout Papua New Guinea.
It also enables people, especially farmers and villagers, to take their garden produce to towns, markets and other selling points.
A recent combined effort by Goroka MP Ajye Tambua and Eastern Highlands Governor Simon Sia in funding two important bridge infrastructure projects in the district and province.
The Matheson and Zogi Joy bridges were demolished and reconstructed.
This allowed for the smooth flow of traffic and businesses, putting to rest worries and fears by students, public servants, PMV operators and the public.
People are now using and benefiting from these two important infrastructures. And, a district and province is so fortunate to have two kind and understandable leaders who act as soon as the need arises.
In the media daily, people in other parts of the country are crying out for better infrastructures and services.
I commend the two leaders of Eastern Highlands for hearing your peoples’ cries and coming to their help.
Leaders are custodians and servants of the people, and both of you have demonstrated that.
