Sickened by our ‘sick’ Members

Letters, Normal

THE Maladina amendment is the beginning of many bad things to come.
After getting rid of laws, Constitution and bodies that watch so-called corrupt leaders from having their way, it is likely a dictator is born under the pretext of “serving the people”.
Twisting around the very law that upholds the country is absurd and only a “sick” person can think of preventing the Ombudsman Commission from carrying out its job.
Unfortunately, all MPs appeared sick as they voted to support it, making it all the more sickening.
PNG is not for a few individuals in Parliament.
Many of our MPs are immature, lack leadership quality and blind.
We have suffered enough.
If it were not for the churches and the customary lands we own, we would have become beggars.
On this note, only the Catholics have shown concern for this country.
Where are the other churches in this hour of need?
They seemed to have disappeared.
The church is the conscience of any government and it must speak out against such issues.
Enough is enough.
