Sign of no control and command

Letters

A RECENT civil unrest, widespread looting and burning down of shops in Port Moresby on Black Wednesday is a sign of a country having no control and command of its city police force.
State and its relevant agencies must now take appropriate disciplinary actions on city police command for total negligence of their duties.
Every discipline force member including police made vows to serve their country at all times – defending and safeguarding their country, people and properties but that vow was not upheld on Black Wednesday is a bad sign of our state fit to be called a failed state by international observers
Therefore, all the fuss that eventuated on Black Wednesday is a direct result of the action by city police command.
The State must come down hard and dismiss all city police personnel involved in the stop work strike.
