Simon sides with ‘like-minded’ MPs in Pangu

MAPRIK MP John Simon says he has joined Pangu Pati to align with like-minded leaders to help change the country.
Simon said he first left the National Alliance and joined the Government because he had big plans for Maprik, especially in the agriculture sector.
“Because I thought that being in the government I would be able to deliver to my people but it never happened,” he said. “They have just been writing, designing and planning but never really implemented anything.
“There has been countless number of ground breaking ceremonies yet nothing on the ground.”
Simon said he had invitations from both Pangu Pati and the National Alliance to join them.
“The team of Pangu is made up of like-minded leaders who will take back PNG for PNG and that is why I have chosen to join Pangu,” he said.
Simon said if the alternate government becomes the government, they would invest and support the agriculture sector.
“It is time to give economical independence to the people and I believe that the agriculture sector is the one that will play an important role to help our people become economically self-reliant.”
