Sing about other things, not women

MUSIC is form of art and it is meant to be meaningful, appealing, sensational, sophisticated and beautiful.
Music is meant to help listeners relate to their situations through the tunes and help them contemplate on their lives.
I see that music in Papua New Guinea is losing its goodness and meaning.
Is there anything else to sing about apart from women? What kind art is this?
I am sure many people are tired of listening to songs about women.
I understand the wonder and values of woman, they are mysterious creatures indeed.
But do you think it is boring hearing the same subject being sung by multiple artists every week?
I do not know much about art but I am certain that it should be associated with the word boring.
Please let us not stop making noise and give some meaning to our music.

  • Absolutely that’s the fact how PNG musician sung…This is becoming Norm to our music industry…Why should we choose something else apart from WOMEN…Thought this is the only way to become famous and rich because all musician are in a same boat..

    Music about women has corrupted young men and women making them lazy to handle real issues in life and pursue more important matters in life.

  • Jah, you nailed it 100%. That is why I gave up listening to PNG music.
    Comparing our musicians from the past to nowadays, all songs composed today is about ladies from whole of PNG. While it is their rights and their skills (art) to perform and compose their songs, can they not compose songs relating to their mountains, bushes, rivers, bushes or real life issues like Gedix Atege does.
