Single father killed while sleeping

A MAN has walked into the police station at Tabubil, Western province, on Boxing Day and told police that he had stabbed another man to death.
The man is now in custody as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the suspected murder, the only one reported by Western province police over the Christmas weekend.
According to police, the victim was a single father of two who may have been having an affair with the attacker’s wife.
Police said a long kitchen knife was used in the attack on the single father who was asleep in his house.
Provincial police commander Chief Insp Peter Philip said the victim was stabbed several times in the stomach and chest and died in his bed.
Chief Insp Philip said that families of the suspect and the dead man were co-operating with police in the investigation.
