A SINGLE father of two is still searching for his missing seven-year-old daughter who disappeared on Christmas Eve at Gordon’s market, Port Moresby.
Ruthy Vele of mixed parentage of Central and Manus provinces had accompanied her aunt and uncle to the market at the time when she went missing between 10am and 11am.
She is of light complexion, trimmed hair and was last seen wearing white shorts and pink shirt.
Her devastated father, Vele Tau, admitted that he has had restless nights since she went missing.
It was too much for the single father who works as a plumber for Bomana Police College, who lost his wife in 2006, then his older daughter, who died later last year leaving him to care for his two remaining family members.
He is currently with his son, who remains the only family member with him, and hopes for the three to reunite soon.
Mr Tau indicated that he had made various attempts in search of his daughter including lodging a missing person’s report the same day at the Gordon’s police station, searched with others’ help around the town areas and distributed flyers containing her details.
He said his attempts have had no success forth coming.
Mr Tau is desperate in finding his daughter whom he said is partly absent-minded.
With her condition, the family is the only people who know how to give her the special support she requires.
Anyone with any leads regarding her whereabouts can call Logona or Kevin on 7103 0071 or 7113 3274.
There is a negotiable reward on offer for any possible leads into the whereabouts of Ruthy.
