Sir Mekere’s wisdom

Letters

ONE of the former prime ministers whom I admire most is Sir Mekere Morauta, the current member for Port Moresby North-East.
He is one I consider as a born leader.
He has both wisdom (rod) and knowledge (sceptre).
He is in politics not to seek wealth, fame and fortune but to embark on a patriotic course.
I remember that when the country was facing an economic
crisis, Sir Mekere’s privatisation policy saved us from a downward spiral.
What I am trying to say is that the Government should seek Sir Mekere’s wise counsel and not push him away.
He is concerned about the state of this country, like we all are. The government should involve Sir Julius Chan and Sir Mekere in its decision-making processes.
We need them.
