Sir Michael had Godly attributes

Letters

AFTER going through tributes by different people of how Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare impacted them, I was touched and would like to share my sentiment.
Sir Michael was unique man.
He portrayed the image of God.
Sir Michael possessed bits of Godly traits which are love, peace, justice and wisdom.
Those traits enabled him to move mountains.
It takes a lion’s heart to lead a nation of more than 800 tribes when the nation was reeling under colonial imperialism.
I prefer a communist dictatorship style of government to dictate a multicultural tribal nation like ours.
But Sir Michael was a God-given leader who had opted for democracy and had, in every means, worked to uphold this entity we are currently taking for granted and enjoying it without knowing its real value.
I salute you Sir Michael.
You are the master architect of democracy that molded the many tribes into one people, one nation and one country PNG.
