Six suspects arrested after businessman killed

SIX people have been arrested in relation to the death of a businessman in Jiwaka last week.
Police commander Chief Inspector Horim Piamia said one of those arrested was the businessman’s wife.
She alleged conspired with five members of the Kuma tribe in the Kudjip local level government to commit the offence.
Piamia said police were yet to establish the motive for the killing.
The deceased lived bear the Kudjip General Hospital.
“All the suspects implicated in the killing are all from Kuma tribe,” he said.
He said there had been an increase in the loss of lives caused by tribal fights and sorcery.
He recently said the increase in homebrew and marijuana consumption was a major problem in the province. Students were also involved the illegal trading of drugs.
